Analysis: PWL 2026: Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals finish off a diappointing season winless

Delhi Dangal Warriors Secure Playoff Spot in PWL 2026

Why This Matters

The Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026 has reached its climax, and the latest match between Delhi Dangal Warriors and Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals had significant implications for the competition. The outcome of this contest determined whether Delhi would secure a playoff spot.

Delhi's Dominant Performance

Delhi Dangal Warriors demonstrated their strength in the opening 74kg men's tie as Turan Bayramov edged a tight contest against Deepak. Anjli's attacking display in the 62kg women's contest further solidified Delhi's early lead, followed by Anastasiya Alpyeeva's swift win in the 76kg women's category. Karla Godinez Gonzalez and captain Sujeet Kalkal added to Delhi's points tally, ensuring a comfortable 6-3 victory.

Mumbai's Struggles

Tiigers of Mumbai Dangals struggled to keep pace with Delhi, managing only three points throughout the match. Jyoti Sihag, Mukul Dahiya, and a forfeit in the final bout were the only points scored by Mumbai. Despite a spirited comeback by Sihag in the 53kg women's bout, it wasn't enough to prevent Mumbai from ending their campaign without a single team victory.

North East Connection

Although no wrestlers from the North East region participated in this particular match, the PWL 2026 has showcased the talent of Indian wrestlers from various parts of the country, including Manipur's Bajrang Punia, who has represented India in multiple international tournaments.

Looking Ahead

With Delhi securing a playoff spot, the PWL 2026 is set for an exciting finish. Up next, UP Dominators will face Haryana Thunders on Matchday 12. As the competition heats up, fans can tune in to Sony Sports Ten 4 and Ten 5, or stream the match on Sony LIV, to witness the thrilling conclusion of the Pro Wrestling League 2026.
